La Dolce Vita Course

This course is offered in all our partner Italian School locations: FlorenceMilanRomeTurin but on different dates. Our fascinating cities will enchant you with their history and their wide cultural offerings. 

The ‘La Dolce Vita’ course is organized in 2 parts, the first dedicated to studying the language with 4 lessons a day of Intensive Italian course, which take place in the mornings, and the second is dedicated to culture and recreation with a rich programme of afternoon and evening activities.

On the first day of school, the participants in the Dolce vita course will be able to test their linguistic ability, upon which they will be put in the most appropriate class to improve their skills.

RECOMMENDED FOR: adult students who want to refresh or enhance their skills in the Italian language and at the same time taste the pleasure of an Italian vacation, between culinary events, cultural exhibition and excursions that will make you feel like on the set of “La Dolce Vita”.

“La Dolce Vita” course program in Florence

In the morning you will take part in the Italian language group lessons according to your level. In the afternoon or evening you will enjoy cultural activities suggested by the school. Program subject to change.

1° week: afternoon program

  • Orientation tour of the city;  
  • Guided History of Art visit;
  • Traditional Italian dinner in a typical ‘Trattoria’;
  • Tour of Artisan Workshops (Ceramics, Etching, Florentine paper, Shoemaker, etc.);
  • Half-day excursion to the vineyards of the ‘Chianti’ area, visit to a winery including ‘merenda’ (typical Tuscan afternoon snack).

2° week: afternoon program

The program of the One-Week-Course is followed by:

  • Day excursion in Tuscany (Siena or Pisa or Lucca);
  • Visit of Fiesole and the Roman Theatre or Visit of Renaissance Villas and Gardens;
  • Tour of Fashion Workshops or Shopping at an Outlet;
  • Lesson of Tuscan cuisine;
  • Visit of a Museum or a Palazzo;
  • ‘Apericena’ (rich buffet with typical snacks).

In the morning you will take part in the Italian language group lessons according to your level. In the afternoon or evening you will enjoy cultural activities suggested by the school. Program subject to change.

1° week: afternoon program

  • Orientation tour of the city;
  • La Scala Theatre: guided tour to the Scala Museum, to discover the Italian Opera and Brera District;
  • Participation at a Classical Concert or Opera;
  • Visit to the “Foundation Giuseppe Verdi, the House for Musicians”
  • Traditional dinner.

2° week: afternoon program

The program of the One-Week-Course is followed by:

  • Excursion around Milan, visiting cities like Como or Verona;
  • Visit to Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘Last Supper’ and Santa Maria delle Grazie church or to the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology;
  • Walking through the district of the “Navigli” (Art studios and Antique shops);
  • Visit to the “Museum del 900”;
  • Visit to Piazza Gae Aulenti: the new Milan, Skyscraper city;
  • Traditional Milan Aperitif.

“La Dolce Vita” course program in Rome

Morning classes of Italian Language in international groups (6 levels available) from Monday to Friday combined with cultural classes and activities in the afternoon . Here you find the draft of the cultural sessions to be reconfirmed the week prior the beginning of the course.

1° week: afternoon program

  • Ancient Rome Guided Tour

  • Guided Tour at Vatican Museums included entrance ticket.
  • Visit to one of the famous market in Campo de’ Fiori and eno-gastronomic tour.
  • Wine tasting.
  • Traditional Roman dinner.

2° week: afternoon program

The program of the One-Week-Course is followed by:

  • Full day excursion including guided visit to Viterbo and lab of artistic glass 
.
  • Guided Tour to Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum.
  • Cooking class.
  • Guided Tour of Baroque Rome.
  • Guided Tour to Galleria Borghese including entrance ticket.
  • Visit to Roman Jewish Ghetto and traditional Roman-Jewish dinner.  

DOLCE VITA IN TURIN

The “La dolce vita” course is particularly suitable for adult students who wish to refresh or deepen their knowledge of the Italian language and at the same time enjoy an Italian holiday made up of eno-gastronomic encounters, cultural visits and excursions that offer the emotion of the Italian Dolce Vita.

The program includes participation in the intensive group course in the morning according to the level, while cultural activities take place in the afternoon or evening in the company of a teacher.

The program may vary based on the number of participants and the availability of events.
